Girl Pow-R Launches #GirlPowRment Wall for International Women’s Day
Toronto-area pop supergroup Girl Pow-R empowerment movement is making waves this International Women’s Day. The band has launched the #GirlPowRment #Wall to inspire confidence, resilience, and empowerment among young girls and women.
Carina, a band member, says, “International Women’s Day means bringing awareness to hard-working women and girls all over the world who deserve respect and support. I hope the #GirlPowRment #Wall starts a conversation about encouraging young girls to feel confident and pursue their dreams. Girl Pow-R can make a difference.”
Educating and Celebrating Women Through Music
The #GirlPowRment #Wall coincides with Ellen’s visit and the #IWD2019 celebrations. Band member Maya adds, “It’s a way to celebrate women, how far we’ve come, and what we’ve accomplished. It’s also about educating people on women’s rights and equality.”
