Teen Pop Supergroup Girl Pow-R Say “This Is Us” in New Music Video and Debut Album

The all-girl supergroup Girl Pow-R continues to inspire their growing fanbase with the release of their uplifting music video “This Is Us” — along with their debut album of the same name, now available on major streaming platforms.

Riding High After Chart-Topping Success

Following the success of their earlier single Never Let Go — which debuted at #2 on the iTunes Canada Children’s chart (just behind Baby Shark, and ahead of Sharon, Lois & Bram, The Wiggles, and Raffi) and #15 in the U.S. — This Is Us arrives in the midst of the group’s Canadian and U.S. summer tour. Their U.S. stops included Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston.

A Mission of Empowerment and Advocacy

The new single reflects the group’s mission to unite and uplift their peers while advocating for important causes. Girl Pow-R supports charities such as SickKids, the Animal Humane Society, SPCA, and the Give and Restore Hope Children’s Charity. They also raise awareness for anti-war efforts and the fight against violence.

The #GirlPowRment Wall: Spreading Positivity

As part of their outreach, Girl Pow-R invites audiences to contribute to their #GirlPowRment Wall — a space for messages about friendship, acceptance, and support.

“We started as a group by writing messages that inspire us,” the band shares. “We love seeing what other girls and women add to encourage people around the world.”

Inspiring Confidence in a Digital Age

Seen on eTalk Canada, Breakfast Television, CP24, and more, the group hopes their debut album will inspire girls to embrace their individuality and resist peer pressure and online negativity.

A Diverse and Talented Lineup

Ranging in age from 10 to 17, Girl Pow-R members bring diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences to the stage. Formed on International Women’s Day 2017, they are singers, songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, and dancers united by a mission of empowerment.

Achievements and Milestones

Since their debut, Girl Pow-R has:

  • Won a Family Channel singing competition
  • Earned nominations for Niagara Music Awards’ Best New Group and a Toronto Independent Music Award
  • Performed over 160 shows in two years
  • Been hand-picked to re-create the Mysticons theme song

They are currently signed to Canyon Entertainment Group.
